Introduction

Welcome to the webcasting page of Buckinghamshire Council.

Please refer to our webcast protocol.

What is a webcast?

A webcast is basically a transmission of audio and video over the internet. Video cameras at our council meetings capture the live information and send it to a central server, which in turn sends it to anyone that would like to view the meeting. Through the use of your internet connection, you can view the meetings live from the comfort of your own home.

Should you miss a meeting, or would like to view a section of the meeting again, then you can view the archive of the webcast. The archives allow you to view the meeting at your leisure and, through the use of the index points, allow you to jump to a specific agenda point or speaker. Click the Webcast library link for a list of all available archived meetings.
